The TP-Link RE450 is a dual-band Wi-Fi range extender that plugs directly into a wall outlet to strengthen and expand an existing router’s signal into rooms and floors it can’t reach on its own. It combines 450 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band with 1300 Mbps on the 5 GHz band for a combined AC1750 wireless speed class, and supports TP-Link OneMesh technology, allowing it to join a single, seamless Wi-Fi network with a compatible OneMesh router rather than creating a separate extended network name. A built-in Gigabit Ethernet port lets you connect a wired device — such as a smart TV, games console, or desktop PC — directly to the boosted signal, and three external antennas with beamforming help direct signal toward connected devices for a more stable connection at distance.
